eHeart is a mobile app designed to support cardiorespiratory rehabilitation patients enrolled with the GPRC at the University of Brasília. It delivers personalized exercise programs so users can continue supervised rehabilitation at home with clear instructions, video demonstrations, timers and repetition counting. During setup the app collects basic clinical information to help clinicians tailor sessions, and it prompts patients to report heart rate, perceived exertion and blood pressure each session to support safety and monitoring.
Personalized exercise prescriptions based on initial clinical data guide at-home rehabilitation. Video demonstrations accompany each exercise and built-in timers and repetition counters simplify sessions. Session monitoring prompts request heart rate, perceived exertion and blood pressure for clinician review. Secure, authenticated access is provided through the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team to ensure appropriate use.
eHeart enables continuity of care by allowing patients to perform guided rehabilitation exercises between clinic visits. It supports clinicians with structured data collection and adherence monitoring and reduces uncertainty about proper exercise technique and timing through clear multimedia guidance.
Access is restricted to patients enrolled in the GPRC program and requires authentication from the care team. Participation requires agreement to a consent form at first use and sharing of basic clinical and session data with the program.
The eHeart app was developed by the Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation Research Group (GPRC) at the University of Brasília to support clinical research and remote patient care.
