Parallel is developed by a Tokyo-based startup founded in July 2017 under a previous name. The company launched the Parallel app in August 2019 and has completed pre-series A, series A and a series B funding round. In the series B, the startup raised approximately 1.2 billion yen with participation from investors including Jafco Group, KDDI Open Innovation Fund, Anri, W ventures and Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, earmarking funds to strengthen engineering and marketing teams.
