HearBat is an Android app for recording and analyzing high-frequency sounds such as bat echolocation and other ultrasonic signals. HearBat captures audio in the field, provides simple visualizations, and exports recordings for further analysis, making it suitable for educational use and casual field observation.
HearBat records audio with adjustable sensitivity and creates timestamped clips, displays a real-time spectrogram to show frequency content, saves and organizes clips in common audio formats, and lets you add basic metadata such as location and observation notes to individual recordings.
