CacauTour is a mobile app designed to help travelers discover cocoa farms, chocolate workshops, and guided tastings. It combines interactive maps, curated itineraries, and local guides to plan immersive cocoa-focused trips. The app targets food tourists and professionals seeking authentic chocolate experiences.
CacauTour brings together practical tools for planning, navigating and booking cocoa-related activities. Key capabilities include an interactive map that highlights plantations, artisanal chocolatiers, and tasting events; a searchable directory of hosts with ratings and photos; and ready-made routes for half-day, full-day or multi-day tours. The app supports offline map downloads so you can explore rural areas without a constant data connection. In-app messaging connects travelers with local guides and farm operators, while a calendar integration helps manage bookings and reminders.
The app uses location data and curated content to build recommended experiences. When you enter a region, CacauTour suggests nearby farms and workshops ranked by user reviews, distance and current availability. Each listing includes practical details: opening hours, languages spoken, price ranges, tour duration and what to expect during the visit. Bookings are completed through a secure checkout integrated into the app; confirmation and contact details are stored in your personal itinerary. Local hosts can update availability and post last-minute events, keeping offerings fresh and accurate.
CacauTour adapts to different travel styles. Use the quick-plan mode to generate a compact route for the day or switch to custom mode to handpick stops and control driving or walking sequences. The preferences panel lets you filter by experience type—farm tours, chocolate-making classes, tasting sessions, or markets—plus dietary options and accessibility needs. Saved itineraries can be exported as PDFs or shared with travel companions. For professionals, the app offers a portfolio feature to promote workshops and manage reservations.
The interface is clean and photo-forward, with large images and straightforward icons that guide users through discovery and booking steps. Map controls are responsive, and content loads quickly even on modest devices. CacauTour minimizes friction by consolidating information on single pages: photos, host descriptions, reviews and booking buttons are all visible without excessive tapping. Push notifications are customizable, so you receive only the updates you want—booking confirmations, itinerary reminders or special offers from hosts.
Designed to run efficiently on a wide range of Android devices, CacauTour optimizes map rendering and caches frequently accessed data to reduce battery drain and network usage. The offline mode stores map tiles and essential listing details so the app remains useful in low-connectivity environments. It supports recent Android versions and scales well on tablets for detailed route planning. Regular updates improve stability and add new destination content.
Privacy controls let users manage location sharing and message history. Booking payments are processed through secure gateways and hosts are verified through an onboarding process to help maintain trust. CacauTour encourages responsible tourism by featuring sustainability information for each host, such as organic certification, fair labor practices and guidelines for respectful visits. These details help travelers choose experiences that support local communities.
To begin using CacauTour, download the app, create a profile, and set your travel region. Browse suggested itineraries or search for specific farms and workshops. Use the filter options to refine results, save favorites, and book directly in the app. New users can explore free sample routes to get a feel for how guides, maps and bookings work together.
